Therapy isn't about fixing what's broken — it's about discovering what's already whole. In a space that feels genuinely safe, you'll find the clarity and connection you've been looking for.

I'm Stanley C. Kisiel, a licensed marriage and family therapist based in Cheshire, Connecticut. Over the past two decades, I've walked alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life's most difficult transitions.
My approach is rooted in the belief that every person carries within them the capacity for growth — sometimes they just need a thoughtful, nonjudgmental space to rediscover it. I draw from evidence-based practices tailored to what actually matters to you, not what fits a textbook.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, working through relationship patterns, or simply feeling stuck, therapy with me is collaborative, direct, and genuinely human.
Every person who sits in my office brings a different story. Here are the areas where I focus my practice — but your concerns are always welcome, even if they don't fit neatly into a category.
A confidential, supportive space to explore anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or simply the feeling that something needs to shift. We move at your pace.
Rebuild communication, restore intimacy, and break destructive cycles. Whether you're on the edge of crisis or simply want to deepen your connection, we'll find the path forward together.
Families are systems — when one piece shifts, everything changes. I help families improve communication, resolve conflict, and build stronger, more resilient relationships.
Anxiety doesn't have to be your default state. I work with clients to understand the roots of their anxiety and develop practical, lasting tools for calm and clarity.
Career changes, loss, divorce, parenthood — transitions can upend even the most grounded life. I help you navigate these moments with intention rather than reaction.
Therapy from the comfort of your home. Secure, confidential video sessions for clients throughout Connecticut who prefer the flexibility of remote care.
We begin by listening deeply — to your story, your concerns, and what you hope to change. This foundation shapes everything that follows.
Together we define clear, meaningful goals. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, and your treatment plan will reflect what matters most to you.
I draw from CBT, EMDR, emotion-focused therapy, and systemic approaches — whichever tools best serve your unique situation and pace.
We check in regularly on how you're doing. Real change isn't linear, but with the right support, it is absolutely achievable.
"The greatest thing a human being ever does in this world is to see something."
— John Ruskin
The most courageous act a person can take is to reach out for help when they need it most. That first step is often the hardest — and the most important.
— Stanley C. Kisiel, M.S., LMFT
Reaching out is often the hardest part. If you're ready to begin, I'd like to hear from you. Call, email, or fill out the form — and I'll respond within one business day.
